Updated: Aug 4

When increasing your online presence it is important to place your meetings, club website link, and events on as many sites as possible. This helps with driving traffic to your website which generates guests. The goal is to transition guests to members.

Event Links:

This post was created in Canva and used on the club website, Meetup, Facebook, Next Door, LinkedIn, and Twitter (X).

Promoting Speech Contests

  • Notify the media by sending them a press release

  • Speech Contest Guidelines

  • Instead of promoting a "Speech Contest", consider promoting a "Public Speaking Event"

  • Ensure to add "open to the public"

  • Post print media such as flyers

  • Create events on the event links shown above

  • Submit a "Public Service Announcement" to area radio stations

Public Service Announcements (PSA): Radio

  • Public service announcements are short messages in the public interest disseminated by the media without charge to raise public awareness

Public Service Announcement Examples in Oklahoma: (Usually 30 seconds in length)
